"The State of Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the State Department of Education, The African American Affairs Commission, the Asian American Affairs Commission and the Office of Protection and Advocacy are co-sponsoring the CT Kids’ Court Essay Competition which will take place this evening at the state Capitol in the Old Judiciary room at 5:00. The Kids’ Court Competition provides Jr. High and High School students with an opportunity to research a specific civil or human rights issue and advocate a position, initially in an essay and then orally before a panel of judges."
