"As part of a statewide project, Woodstock Academy will become the first school in Connecticut to launch an anti-bullying and harassment initiative aimed at creating a positive school climate for students with disabilities.
According to Exceptional Children, the educational journal focused on special education, students with disabilities are disproportionately targets of bullying behavior, and can also be initiators of the behavior. The effort hopes to provide a framework of understanding about students with disabilities and the additional legal protections that schools are required to follow."
