"Federal authorities are planning to hold a summit aimed at fighting what they call the epidemic of prescription drug abuse.
The one-day conference is set for Thursday at Norwalk Community College and is sponsored by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The goal of the training is to improve prescription drug interdiction and prosecutions by providing law enforcement, physicians, educators and community leaders with tools, skills and contacts."
